To Bea again
The nun
lady
The meeting
was very boring and we had problems with the plugs. When our young secretary stopped to solve the
problems, we couldn’t believe what we saw: This girl with the appearance of a
nun had a nice, sexy and impressive tattoo at the bottom of her back. A tattoo
is a great commitment because it might be with you for the rest of your life.
But nowadays it is almost never forever, as there is laser technology that is
available in order to get divorced from our tattoos. Nowadays it is almost
never forever, neither health, nor disease, nor poverty, nor wealth, nor love,
nor hatred. So instead of saying "Impossible is nothing" we can say
forever is nothing.
What is a tattoo?
A tattoo is a form of body modification, made by inserting indelible ink into the dermis layer of the skin in order to change the pigment. The first
written reference of the word, "tattoo" (or Samoan "Tatau")
appears in the journal of Joseph Banks, the naturalist aboard Captain Cook's ship the HMS Endeavour: "I shall now mention the way they mark
themselves indelibly, each of them is so marked by their humour or
disposition". Tattooing has been practiced for centuries in many cultures
throughout the world.
Why would anyone like to get a
tattoo? There are multitudes of reasons. Not only tauten the bad boys and the
bad girls. Also there are women of advanced age who tattoo the edge of their
lips red to not have to paint them; or aggressive executives who mark their
skin with any small drawing to impress their lover of that moment.
A beautiful story
Now I am thinking of getting a
tattoo. Everything began a few days ago when a very good friend of mine sent me
an article of hers to check over. In her work, Bea was discussing MasaruEmoto's investigation.
Emoto is a Japanese author and
entrepreneur, best known for his claims that human consciousness has an effect
on the molecular structure of water. Emoto's hypothesis has evolved over the
years of his research. Initially Emoto claimed that high-quality water forms
beautiful and intricate crystals, while low-quality water has difficulty
forming crystals. According to Emoto, an ice crystal of distilled water
exhibits a basic hexagonal structure with no intricate branching. Emoto claims
that positive changes to water crystals can be achieved through prayer, music,
or by attaching written words to a container of water.
What about me?
As I intend to have certain words
tattooed on my skin it may turn out that they will have a beneficial effect in
more than 70 % of my body that is composed of water, and, as we are basically
water this seems like an important area to consider. Now, the only things I
have to decide are what tattoo to get and where to have it done. If it works I
will keep it with me forever. I will tell you about my experience later and
maybe . . . I will show you. As I could see with the young secretary with a nun’s
appearance she is OK and is still fine.
